CO2 Monitoring and control system for greenhouses.
One of the most important activities commonly being held in modern greenhouse is CO2 enrichment of internal atmosphere. Though this activity is well known as significally improving crops yields and quality, it can turn off to be very costly and wasteful if the CO2 enrichment process is inaccurately and inefficiently applied.
Waste of energy or CO2 gas can easily occur in case of CO2 overdosing or at underdosing as well, whereas the applied CO2 may be totally ineffective.
Eldar Shany Technologies, specializing many years in computerized control of greenhouses, has long ago developed an accurate and efficient CO2 controller detecting the air from one zone. The Multi-CO2 is a complementary development in which a simple, but sophisticated, system can sample, monitor and control CO2 enrichment from a large number of greenhouses using only a single CO2 sensor. By using Multi-CO2 you, the grower, gain twice: first by efficient application of CO2 for improvement of yields, and, secondly, by significantly save of unnecessary investments in expensive control equipment.
Multi CO2 is one more of Eldar Shany Technologies' state of art products, characterized by its simplicity, reliability and user friendliness, produced by one of the most experienced and leading companies in the field of greenhouse control systems.
System's main components:
A. Eldar CO2 controller for monitoring and display of CO2 levels, transferring data to the process controller.
B. Elgal-24/12 a computerized controller which simultaneously controls the sampling sequence and the application activities additionally to data storage of a whole week.
C. A switch unit in which a set of air suction pumps (2-6) and control valves are installed to ensure a fast and accurate on-line sampling process.

CO2 readings of last seven days.
C. Switch Unit
A plastic box consisting of a number of air suction pumps, that can operate continuously during the scanning process, and a set of 3-way electronic controlled valves, which are operated sequentially by Elgal controller, according to preset program. Each of the valves is connected to a 6 mm polyethylene tube that runs to one of the sampling sections.
This kind of operation ensures a fast, on-line sampling process, accurately representing the CO2 concentration in the sampled section.
The switch unit consists of 2-6 pumps and valves according to customer's order. Systems are available by special orders.
