An Irrigation and Fertigation Machine for Soil-less Cultivations

Powered by Elgal controllers, Fertimix is our top level fertigation machine that specifically designed for low-capacity soil-less cultivation.

Fertimix is an in-line unit, where the whole lot of irrigation water pass through a tank and mix with fertilizer. The injection of the fertilizer to the tank obtained by a set of up to 8 venturi type injectors which controlled by elecro-valves. The mixture of water and fertilizer then pumped back to high pressure for downstream irrigation.

Frtimix defers from its fellow products Fertigal and Fertijet by the smooth and steady level of EC and pH that it produces on its very near downstream. Its mostly recommended applications are when using inert substrate such as Rockwool® or Perlight® or when the proportion between the plant weight and its substrate weight is around 1:1(low capacity).

Fertimix requires a preliminary pump or inlet pressure of 3-5 bar.

General Description:

The FERTIMIX consists of the following components:

	A polyethylene mixing tank with high and low sensor.
	Triple purpose water pump, that supplies pressure for irrigation, fertilizers suction and mixing process.
	3-8 Venturi fertilizer injectors with electrically controlled fertilizer valves (up to 5 more injectors can be supplied by special request). The venturi pumps flow rate can be 150 or 300 lt/h. They can be regulated to lower flow rates by a set of regulators.
	A set of Eldar Shany EC-pH3505 sensor including sampling cell, EC probe, pH probe and the interactive unique transmitter with the ability to perform soft calibration and alert when the probe is out of order.
	A by-pass valve for manual operation.
	Water meter, which emits an electric pulse for monitoring and control.
	Hydraulic controlled inlet and outlet valves.
	A float for automatic inlet flow control.
	PVC non- corrosive piping.
	Electric control panel with manual switch and protection unit for the pump and liquid level controller.
	Elgal controller (model 2000, 24 or 12).
	Aluminum frame.

Optional accessories:

	A set of NC valves that cut-off fertilizer line when the irrigation is off. Additional option: as fertilizer selector valves to enable multi types of fertilizer on the same injector set.
	Flow indicators – an easy way to adjust and monitor each injector work.
	Fertilizer meters – an important add-ins for farther safety and preciseness.

Application program of Elgal controllers installed on Fertimix are the same as for other Eldar Shany Technologies' fertigation systems. They are flexible and specially designed to meet all requirements of soil-less media irrigation and fertigation control.
